Eligibility
Any staff, syndicated or regularly published professional cartoonist.
Entries
Cartoons on current social and political subjects (including sports and entertainment) that have been published Jan. 1, 2008 - Dec. 31, 2008 in a daily or weekly newspaper or regularly published
periodical (including Internet publications) in the United States.
Entries must be accompanied by a $50 entry fee. Checks should
be
made payable to Columbia College Chicago. Please reference Fischetti
Editorial Cartoon Competition on the memo line.
Rules
• An individual may submit up to three cartoons published
during 2008. All entries must be submitted together. The $50 fee
covers all three entries.
• Entries must be postmarked or submitted electronically
by January 31, 2009.
• Date and place of first publication should accompany
all submitted cartoons.
• Original drawings must be available for submitted cartoons
to qualify.
Entry Information
All entries become property of the Fischetti competition committee
of Columbia College Chicago. Grand prize and honorable mention
winners will be required to contribute originals of their entries
for auction to benefit student scholarships through the John
Fischetti endowment. Submission of an entry gives Columbia College
permission to reproduce a cartoon in connection with the contest
or
Fischetti endowment publicity.
